WOOD EMC², is the name of the project financed by the European Union (Leonardo Da Vinci Program) which started October 2006 and will run for two years. A skills management survey of at least 20 companies in each partner-country is one of the first tasks. Those will have to supplement a table on which are listed a series of skills and for each one it will be advisable to indicate the degree of importance taking in consideration the company’s activities.
A training survey about wood construction and carpentry in each country.
For that, the partners will forward to the vocational training centres, schools and technical colleges the survey which will make it possible to identify the existing training modules skill by skill.

These steering committees comprising companies, professional trade associations, Local and National Authority involved in vocational and educational system, universities have the role of validating work carried out.
A synthesis of the results will be made by Néopolis, leader of the project, which will present during the next transnational meeting which will be in Latvia from 23rd to 27th may 2007. :
